How to become Para SF Commando:

All the candidates who have not yet started their journey to become a soldier or officer in the Indian Army and they have a dream to become Para SF Commando. here I will tell you the proper way to become para SF commando. You can follow this track to reach your destination.

First, You have to prepare to be an officer in the Indian Army. To be an officer in the Indian Army, one can appear for the NDA Entry, CDS Entry or some direct entry like NCC special Entry.  Join the Indian Army as an Officer and then you can apply for the Para Special Forces Commando.

A candidate who performs very good in the training they also get some referral to become Para SF Commando. Here the referral means, A gentlemen cadets of the Training Academy will get an entry in the parent’s regiments and after years of years, they may get a chance to become para Special Forces Commando.

The Path to become Commando is extremely tough. A candidate will have to clear the world’s toughest training. Here the training procedure will be completely different from the Normal Indian Army Soldiers and Officers. In an Army way, One commando is equal to the 100 men.

Eligibility Criteria for Para SF Commando:

• A candidate must be a medical fit at stage 1 level.
• A candidate must be a part of the Indian Armed forces.
• Age Limit:  The age of the candidate should not be more than 32 years old to apply for this.
• There is no decided age to apply for this.
• A candidate just needs to be part of the Indian Army Service. 

Selection Process of Para SF Commando:

How to join Para SF Commando: The Selection of the Cadets as Para Special Force Commando is done on two bases:

• Pre Commissioning
• Post-Commissioning

There is no direct recruitment for the Para Special Forces Commando. The selection of the candidates for the special forces is done form the Existing Soldiers and Officers. All the candidates who are in Indian Armed forces and want to become para SF commando. they can apply for this post vacancy. There are also some eligibility Criteria that are required to apply for this that I will discuss in the Eligibility Section.

The Candidates also get selected for the Para SF Commando while on their training, candidates who perform very good in the training and become gentlemen cadets. they directly get recruited for the Parent regiments and after sometimes they get recruited as the Para Special Commando. These are the two ways to be the Para Special force commando. Now let’s see the complete eligibility which a must-have to apply for this post of the Indian Armed forces.

 With a view to recruit motivated and volunteer soldiers into the PARA Regt, following process would be followed with immediate affect :- (a) Successful and eligible candidates ie. those attaining 100% marks in Physical Fitness tests and 50% marks in Written Test and are in merit will be asked to exercise an option of joining the ELITE PARA Regt by AROs just prior to their despatch. These volunteers candidates will be subjected to additional tests for selection for PARA Regt.

(B) These candidates who have exercised the option of joining the PARA Regt will have the assurance of joining the already allotted Parent Regt if they fail to qualify in the special screening tests for PARA Regiment.

(C) Volunteers will be subjected to special tests as stated below

1	5 Km Run	20 min
2	Chin Up	14
3	Push Up	40 reps in 1 min
4	Sit Up	80 reps in 2 min
5	Mtr Shuttle	17 times in 01 Min

(D) The selected candidates will be dispatched to PRTC. In case the selected candidates are not able to meet requisite trg stds at PRTC, they will be transferred to the parent Regt for further trg. 

(E) The above mentioned tests will be conducted by the Bd of Offrs of the PRTC at the ARO location/station
